'hard rock walzer' contemporary austrian sculpture

italy will be holding an exhibit of contemporary austrian sculpture titled, 'hard rock walzer' from november 11 to march 25. the show will feature 15 austrian artists that represent the vanguard of contemporary sculpture in austria. the exhibit continues the villa manin's exploration of art from its neighboring countries.

the works do not merely represent the space but they narrate it, and by doing so they bring about situations, create paradoxes, recall memories and emotions. this show wishes to present the art produced today in a small country like austria that, with its history and its reality, reflects also a universal and shared world.

Maybe it is just me but these things get stranger and stranger what happened to good oldfashioned art, don't get me wrong I like modern and contemporary art but some of it is just for the sake of money not art.

There are so many different forms of art toady and anything from a brick to garden furniture can pass as art, there is no talent in that.
